  1. Tretinoin (vitamin A) is a very potent medicated cream which should be used with a lot of caution. Overuse or wrongly using it can actually ruin your skin instead of benefitting it. It should not be used daily especially by beginners. Use it only once or twice a week at night (depending on how much your skin can tolerate), only a pea size amount 🫛 for the entire face on completely dry skin after washing the face followed by a good hydrating moisturizer. It is a maintenance cream which should be used live long for maximum benefits but should be avoided by pregnant or lactating mothers. Tretinoin is the OG cream for anti aging, acne, hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone etc. it exfoliates the dead skin, penetrates deeper into the skin and with consistent use smooth the surface of the skin. That’s why there is flaking of the skin after its use. It is slightly harsh and can cause dryness and redness. Since the new skin is very sensitive to sunlight, it is advised to use spf 50 daily during the day to protect it from the sun. You can use umbrella and sunglasses 🕶️ too. Always remember- less is more and consistency is key.
